Yesterday, I had a lot of fun speaking at ICF, rounding out our most recent series on evangelism. We’ve been plowing through five weeks of practical instruction on how to be effective evangelists around our friends. It’s a lot of fun speaking in English and having it translated into French from the stage. Sometimes, what comes out of the translator’s mouth, in this case Cecile Terraz’s, is hilarious. Take a look at the video.

We haven’t put up photos in a while because we have just been SUPER busy. Harriet had her birthday and I have been running around like a mad man trying to secure contracts, build relationships and prepare sermons and workshop materials for ICF. Anyhow, the sprint is over, for now, so I am posting a first batch of pics. Enjoy.

Jude watched an ENTIRE movie with us last week!

Late last night, Jude was in an amazingly good mood. He is responding to our voices a lot now, and LOVES to smile! Pardon the poor low-light focusing… (unfortunately, my $800 (Xacti HD1000 isnt a 100% perfect HD camera…)

So far, a family best time of 1:20.8. I think we could go under 1:00.00 if there weren’t any misses.

You know what Ol’ Jack Burton always says… possibly the greatest quote of all time.

Have you ever wanted to forward your work (exchange) email to your gmail hotmail yahoo etc account? I have been wanting to forever. I finally figured it out. (You’ll need to be a domain & exchange admin for this)
1. Check correct service is running
(On your Exchange Server) Check that Microsoft Exchange System Attendant service is running. If it is not, manually start it. (run services.msc)
2. Create new mail contact
From Exchange Management Shell, input the following: (for example)
New-MailContact -Name “Jack Burton-external” -ExternalEmailAddress “good.ol.jack.burton@gmail.com”
or
From EMC (Exchange Mgmt Console) create new Mail Contact:
a) Open Recipient configuration, and right click on Mail Contact
b) Choose “new mail contact>next>
c) Input name (make it different to exchange email name (eg for Jack Burton do Jack Burton-external)
d) Choose edit on external email address>type in email address (keep SMTP)
e) Complete it.
3. Forward mail to new mail contact
a) Open Recipient Configuration, and right click on Mailbox
b) Right click>properties on your exchange email contact (whose mail you want to forward)
c) Choose mail flow settings>delivery options>properties
d) Tick “forward to”, then browse, choose new mail contact.
e) ok, ok, ok. done!
Test it out!!! It worked perfectly for me!
Thanks to the people in the following posts for their priceless help!!

This is from 4 or so weeks ago and will probably only be interesting to family or very close friends who are gaga about Jude…

Jude had his first (small) run-in with diarrhea two days ago. Thank goodness it only lasted one day. On that day, Wednesday, Jude was not a happy camper. All in all, he has been a super cool baby. I have found that during his cranky periods, the best way to hold him is either “sack of potatoes” or “superman” as in the photo below. Its almost a guaranteed hush-up, thank God!
Today, Jude and I went on our first walk in the “baby bjorn” our little baby backpack that we bought. He made such a fuss while we were getting him strapped in, I resolved no matter how much he yelled, we would go for a walk. He ended up loving it so much that less than two minutes out the door, he was fast asleep, which is how he stayed for over half an hour, up hills, through wooded areas, down vineyards etc. Only the sound of mommy’s voice could wake him.
I hope you enjoy the photos! (I did)

PS - can someone PLEASE explain to me how you can have an explosion (crap your
pants) and have it stain the FRONT side of your clothing [while lying on your back]??? This
was Jude’s dilemmah. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a camera on me at the
time…

Have you experienced Adobe trial to full upgrade hell (or do you not have NINE HUNDRED Swiss Francs for Adobe Dreamweaver CS3)? I recommend reading this. I love this guy. Just read his instructions carefully and you could be one happy Adobe user.

When I was about 13 a film came out in France called ‘Les Visiteurs’ which was a huge hit, hillarious… but that has nothing to do with the title of this post.
We have had a few more visitors, most importantly my sister, Elisa, and Francesca! It was so great to have them with us, to spend time with Jude and have their extra hands to help around the house, which very slowly getting under control.
Nadejda, a friend of my mum’s came around to see Jude and earlier in the month, Cathy David and Kyle came over.
Jude has been an absolute angel, but recently more on the loud side… I suppose he is going through a growth spurt as he has been wanting to eat more regularly, although all is still under control. He doesn’t seem to suffer terribly with stomach aches, and has been giving us some GORGEOUS smiles over the last week! He is nearly 5 weeks old now and we went to see the Pediatrician on Tuesday 27th. He then weighed 4,7 kgs and measured 55cms, and the doctor reassured us that he appeared to be in excellent health, and particularly ‘éveillé’ (awake) for his age… we are very proud parents indeed!
Also we went out for crepes on Jude’s one month birthday, on 28th May, in Rolle, where uncle Phil works! It was a lovely evening out, and Jude absolutely insisted on being a big part of it, but I don’t think he enjoyed it much as you can see on the picture below.
