the day of explosions

Jude had his first (small) run-in with diarrhea two days ago. Thank goodness it only lasted one day. On that day, Wednesday, Jude was not a happy camper. All in all, he has been a super cool baby. I have found that during his cranky periods, the best way to hold him is either “sack of potatoes” or “superman” as in the photo below. Its almost a guaranteed hush-up, thank God!

Today, Jude and I went on our first walk in the “baby bjorn” our little baby backpack that we bought. He made such a fuss while we were getting him strapped in, I resolved no matter how much he yelled, we would go for a walk. He ended up loving it so much that less than two minutes out the door, he was fast asleep, which is how he stayed for over half an hour, up hills, through wooded areas, down vineyards etc. Only the sound of mommy’s voice could wake him. :)

I hope you enjoy the photos! (I did)

PS - can someone PLEASE explain to me how you can have an explosion (crap your
pants) and have it stain the FRONT side of your clothing [while lying on your back]??? This
was Jude’s dilemmah. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a camera on me at the
time…
