Last month, I posted some of the BlackBerry apps I use most frequently. Here is an update.
Wall Street Journal for BB - definitely the coolest news app ever. sexy, free, and fast.
Facebook - Yes, I tried it and liked it.
Google Updater - One place to access all of Google’s free BlackBerry apps - and tells you when they’ve been updated.
Autolock - Saves me $$ a month: Automatically locks your phone after use, perfect as my phone is always banging around in my pocket!
Zelda - YES!!! (the original) — for BlackBerry.
Got a great BlackBerry app? Leave a comment!

Jude had a lot of fun bouncing on dad’s leg this afternoon. It was really funny when he realised the sounds he could make by speaking into my hand. This video is probably for ppl in love with Jude. For others, just keep moving…

I caught the last 15 minutes of Obama’s acceptance speech as the Democratic nominee this morning. One word: Wow. He really took the bull by the horns, and set the pace for the coming months. He dismounted previous (mediocre) methods of campaigning, and cast clear vision as to what he was FOR, rather than focusing on what Mc Cain was not. He was articulate, calm and knew what he was saying. Hats off to his speach writers. This thing was sizzling.
I particularly liked this little photo commentary from the NY Times and thought i would share.

I know this is a lame reason to post, but recently I skimmed through an article which intrigued me. Thanks to Biz Stone, co-founder of Twitter for the link. On another note, H, Jude and I are fantastic. H goes back to work in 10 days, Jude is being prepared slowly for spending 5 hours a day with a friend of ours who will be taking care of him. (We are excited about this, but nervous) I am running like a mad-man to finalise lots of litte loose business ends. I promise pics and video soon. - me

I just had to do this on this photo of Jude and I in Pisa. It was so hot I felt sorry for him and let him go naked for a while… I have already put this photo up, but it really looks like all he’s missing are a pair of wings!

I’m impatiently awaiting (like most BlackBerry users) for the arrival of the BlackBerry Bold. Obviously, there is a huge anti-climax, a few days after you get any new toy, but for the time being, the emotions are high and I still find myself looking at reviews, hunting for the latest up to date specs etc. Anyhow, so far, this is one of the best reviews I have found. Perhaps it will wet your whistle.

H and Jude are the closest thing to heaven I know. I love being hubby and dad to them. What a gift from Jesus! For those die-hard Jude fans, here is some video of h and Jude having fun together just before we left on summer vacation.

Well, I have started running again. Today, went a meager 9km. I was sure it was 10 but Google maps trumps Stu’s internal GPS. Anyhow, here is the route.

It’s easy (for some) to admit that they need a change in their lives. What is generally not as easy, is taking hold of change. Last night I had the privilege of speaking to ICF Geneva about how to make it through the change process. I looked at some of the different challenges that we all face when attempting significant life change, and pointed out the fact that true change starts with a spiritual change in our lives, when we connect with the change agent, Jesus Christ.
Many thanks to Marty Simmons and Ben Wierzba for helping me get ahold of the amazing UE warm-ups. I am forever grateful. Take a look at the talk online!

Well, it appears it is my ‘turn’ to write
We have just returned from a wonderful holiday at Mum and Dad’s in Orbetello, Tuscany. We spent a lot of time eating and having siestas… just perfect! Jude adapted very well, and enjoyed having twice the attention he usually gets, and was certainly the happiest I have seen so far. In fact I can say for sure that he hardly ever cried. Unfortunately 5 days before we came back he started to display signs of teething.
I have been dreading teething. I have been dreading it since before he was born, since before he was conceived, since before I got married… I don’t know why! I guess when I think of babies teething all I can think about is crying… But Jude doesn’t seem to be in pain. He is just drooling so much he looks like he’s had a bath with his clothes on, and he doesn’t want to eat as much … that and biting my nipple as often as he can, have lead me to conclude that more painful nursing is in sight…
Anyhow, the weather was beautiful, my parents were wonderful with Jude, and we all had a lovely first family holiday together. The next one involves a 10 hour flight… we shall cross that bridge when we get there.
Some pictures of us in beautiful Italy.

Stuart and Jude at Talamone, gorgeous city north of Orbetello

Stuart and Jude in Pisa, if you look closely you can see the drool…

I tried to give Jude a break from the heat in Pisa … doesn’t he look just like a cherub from the Sistine Chapel??!

While browing the saldi in Pisa, Jude found his foot for the first time! Managed to get a shot

As I’ve already posted on my Twitter, we had a VERY long, albeit fulfilling drive home. Italy was a tremendous experience, especially as it was our first major time away from home with Jude. We have a lot of photos to share and will post an album link tomorrow. Harriet was a champ, driving a significant distance on the way back so I could sleep. Jude, the dude, is still himself, not at all phased by an almost 20 hour trip home. He’s happy as a clam, enjoying the simple things in life, and now just recently holding his feet. Harriet will post a full update on him tomorrow, I’m sure. It’s time to have some quality time with my pillow.
